Astragal Bars

Period Style.

Georgian style is often required by local councils in places where a property needs to match the surrounding area.

Astragal bars are designed to be true to the period style and have physical bars on the outside of the glass, unlike Georgian bars where they are situated in between the sheets of glass. This offers a more true-to-style appearance of the Georgian period, however they can be more difficult to clean, block a little more light and are more expensive to manufacture than their Georgian bar counterparts.
